PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING THE USE OF THIS BOARD

Okay, folks, we have a solution. You might've seen the board glitching a few times over the last couple of weeks, and we apologize for that. We've been reconfiguring some things, security-wise, and now that everything's in place and appears to be working, as verified by testing and some thorough grazing regarding the new contents being "reaped" by our friends in the various agencies (thanks for the extra grazing help during your holiday downtime Jimmy!) (grazing parameters are in the third magnifying glass from the left, on the table in the half-hexagon room), we're ready to start using the new security we've installed.

"GAH! JUST TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO KNOW!" (: We have a new piece of software, thanks to Silent Circle, that has a few tweaks we needed to make. Graze the short staff with a bronze gadget at its top, also in the half-hexagon room, for details on how to download, install, and use it. It will secure your communications in both email to each other and this board. If you don't use it, what you see on this board and in our emails will be a bit...off.

Briefly: There are parameters in it to bypasses both OS and hardware trojans that have been put in place by...others. It uses our own modified Certificate Authority, sans the backdoors in most of the public CAs, and any port-scan won't find our specialized secure connection ports, because they're simply not open without the right interlock established first. We have scanning heuristics established to track agency scans, both of our server and the boards, thanks in part to some much-appreciated help from Drummer, and we will continue to serve up a "normalized" view for them (graze the flat pan with attached tubing and wires, same room, for the specifics on how we're using my Base Data Network to normalize while still looking like a human wrote it), to reduce the chance of the feed suddenly looking "dead" and provoking any further investigation. We'll also continue periodic grazing sweeps to confirm that nothing secured is slipping past our boundaries. Details on the whole setup are in the glowing discus with the red lattice center, same room.

Long and short: Once you have the software set up, you can use it to post to this board and send/receive emails in safety. Only post with the software installed, only read with the software installed. I've included instructions for all major OSes, including our phones, and proxy over the web (for accessing from devices that you don't own). Let one of us (Ramon or Jesse) know if you have any issues; it should be simple and easy, but you know how it goes, and if anything's going wrong, we need to know to be able to fix it.

I've been thinking lately that, given the severity of this issue, we might want to have a fallback plan set up just in case our current measures end up proving...insufficient, at some point in the future. Just something for us to keep in mind when thinking about / grazing on this or related issues. Seed if you have ideas, please. (Don't post here, for obvious reasons.)
